5. GYPSY HORSE:
The gypsy horse is a breed of domestic horse from Ireland. They were the result of selective breeding over more than 100 years by the gypsy families of Ireland and England in order to create a horse sufficiently docile that worked all day with small amounts of food and water. They are characterized because their fur doesn’t have a single color, but it’s usually blagdon (solid color with white belly splashes), piebalds (black and white pinto), and skewbalds (brown and white chicks).
4. ANDALUSIAN HORSE:
Also known as the Pure Spanish Horse, it’s a horse breed native to Andalusia and recognized as one of the oldest in the world for its existence since the 15th century. It has been a horse very used in horse riding, wars and prized by the nobility due its large size and elegance. This breed has also been very popular in movies and has been present in such fantasy epics as Braveheart, The Lord of the Ring, King Arthur, and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
3. FRIESIAN HORSE:
The Friesian is very popular for its beautiful abundant mane. This is a horse breed originating in Friesland, in the Netherlands. It’s also characterized by its good character and docility. It was used as a warhorse by the Germans and has been employed in the circus due to its black coat and its majesty; although these horses aren’t always black, they are occasionally chestnut. Besides, a curious fact is that Zorro’s horse in The Mask of Zorro is a Friesian.
2. AKHAL-TEKE:
The Akhal-Teke is one of the most popular horse breeds from Turkmenistan. These horses are characterized by their beautiful and shiny coat, the reason why they are also known as “Horses of Gold”. But the bad part is that they have several genetic diseases; however, due to their natural athleticism, they can be sport horses, good at dressage, showjumping, and racing.

The Arab horse is one of the most recognizable horse breeds in the world. It originates in the Arabian Peninsula and there is evidence of its existence since 4,500 years ago. They are characterized by their intelligence, their closeness to human beings, and their resistance. They are also trustworthy and enjoyable, which is why they are frequently chosen for therapeutic riding, exhibition, dressage, cutting, and show jumping.
